Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, bringing, daring rides, festive feasting, ice sculptures and more to the capital until 1 January 2024.

As the Winter Wonderland website puts it: “From high adrenaline rides to family-friendly performances, classic festive treats to the newest in London’s street food scene, and cosy fire pit bars to mythical ice kingdoms – we guarantee there’s something for everyone.”

The site is open from10am to 10pm every day except Christmas Day. If you’re bringing the family, mornings are more relaxed. But as darkness falls on the shortest days of the year, the park is transformed by thousands of sparkling fairly lights.

Highlights this year include:

Ice rink – if you love to glide across the ice, where better than the UK’s biggest outdoor rink set beneath a canopy of twinkling lights?

Magical ice kingdom – 500 tonnes of ice and snow have gone into the creation of this immersive frozen world. This year it’s themed around Norse mythology. Be wowed by the sculptors’ craft and have a go yourself.

Bar ice – billed as the coolest place on the site, this DJ bar is built from ice and comes with an 80s apres-ski theme.

Justin’s Christmas singalong – new for this year, TV’s Mr Tumble, Justin Fletcher performs a Winter Wonderland show of song dance and fun for little ones.

Giant wheel – for amazing views of London at Christmas ride to the top of this 70 metre Ferris – the world’s largest transportable wheel.

Circus – two ever-popular shows are back in town with a choice of Zippo’s Christmas Circus (perfect for families) or the faster-paced Cirque Berserk for adrenaline junkies.

When it comes to eating, the choice is vast. From fish and chips to Venezuelan street food, loaded Doritos to Edgy veg, there should be something for everyone.

We have been using Plaza Estates for many years for all our property requirements (sales, letting and management) and are delighted with the results and service they constantly deliver and provide!

I generally dealt with the Marble Arch branch most of the time, but I can also say that the Knightsbridge office was also exceptionally helpful and professional on the occasions I did deal with them. Plaza Estates in general are excellent.
