More About Little Venice

Feel like you need to know more about Little Venice? Take a look at all the essentials below – from the many transport links, to the local amenities and property market.

Little Venice has long established itself as a pleasant retreat from its busy neighbours – Paddington and Notting Hill – while bearing a closer resemblance to St. John’s Wood nearby. Its name was coined by the poet Robert Browning when observing the three armed junction of the Grand Union and Regents Canals at the heart of the area.

The waterways set this area apart, with attractive river homes and richly decorated barges making their way through the water, all the while overlooked by grand Georgian properties and a beloved string of cafes and eateries. Streets here are broad and leafy, allowing residents to believe they are further from the Capital, and easily able to enjoy the local community.

Little Venice has its claims to fame, too. There’s been a string of celebrity residents from Kate Moss to Sir Alec Guinness. Equally, it’s the home of the BBC’s Maida Vale studios which have attracted reams of talented musicians to the area for nearly a century.

Combine these features together with award winning restaurants and pubs and nearby green spaces – and you have the perfect residential spot in the heart of the city.

Dear Eitan In this whole sorry saga, with headbutting, unproactive lawyers, and a comatose estate agent etc etc, you have been a beacon of light throughout. Efficient, professional and responsive. This would never have got done without you. Thank you. All the best.

I generally dealt with the Marble Arch branch most of the time, but I can also say that the Knightsbridge office was also exceptionally helpful and professional on the occasions I did deal with them. Plaza Estates in general are excellent.
